Released in May with MIT Press, Hedgehogs, Killing, and Kindness is based on long-term fieldwork in the UK and Aotearoa/New Zealand focused on how we come to care for other beings (specifically, but not solely, hedgehogs!), as well as how we learn not to. Click above for all updates regarding the book including teaching guides and colour images to be released over the coming weeks.

I am an anthropologist with expertise in both more-than-human approaches and ethnographic illustration. My work focuses on the possibilities of marginal and emergent practices and ontologies to support generative connection. My current project examines the impact (both inter- and intra-personal) of relational and embodied approaches to establishing a felt sense of safety within social and environmental movements.
